National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) – Delta State Chapter
The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, is the official coordinating body for all youth organizations, movements, and development-focused initiatives across Delta State. As a recognized arm of the NYCN, we serve as the link between the young people of Delta State, the government, and national youth structures ensuring that the voices, rights, and aspirations of Deltan youths are represented, protected, and advanced.
Our mandate is rooted in the belief that youth are the driving force of progress, and when empowered, they become catalysts for development in their communities and the nation at large. Guided by the national motto “Build the Youth, Build the Nation,” we are committed to nurturing responsible, skilled, and visionary leaders who are ready to contribute meaningfully to the growth of Delta State and Nigeria.
Over the years, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, has played a central role in mobilizing youths for national development programs, resolving youth-related challenges, promoting unity, and fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and community service.

We are committed to fostering an environment where young people respect the rights of others, participate actively in decision-making processes, and collaborate with government and stakeholders in the sustained growth and development of the nation.
The Voice of Delta Youths, Driving Change and Development.
The objectives of the Youth Council include:
i. Coordinating the activities of all recognized Voluntary Youth Organizations and State Chapters.
ii. Researching and addressing challenges affecting youth in Delta State, while initiating practical solutions.
iii. Actively mobilizing Delta State youth for nationwide youth development programmes.
iv. Ensuring all international engagements by nationally recognized Voluntary Youth Organizations are duly reported to the Ministry of Youth Affairs through the Youth Council.
v. Participating effectively in national and international youth-focused events and initiatives.
vi. Evaluating yearly programmes of Member Organizations and LGA Chapters, and submitting recommendations to the Ministry of Youth Development.
vii. Serving as a leadership training ground for youth as future leaders of the State.
viii. Promoting youth inclusion in governance, policy formulation, implementation, and nation-building.
ix. Strengthening peace, unity, and friendship among Nigerian youths and their peers across the world.
